A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; appropriating money for predesign, design, and
environmental studies for the renovation of the Rum River Dam.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; RUM RIVER DAM.

new text begin $400,000 in fiscal year 2016 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of natural resources for a grant to the city of Anoka under Minnesota
Statutes, sections 103G.511 and 103G.515. Of this appropriation, $150,000 is for
predesign and environmental studies and $250,000 is for design of the Rum River Dam
to serve as a barrier to invasive species.
