A bill for an act
relating to public safety; appropriating money to the
commissioner of public safety to fund the Criminal
Gang Strike Force.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin CRIMINAL GANG STRIKE FORCE; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin (a) $1,500,000 is appropriated from the general fund for
the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006, and $1,500,000 is
appropriated from the general fund for the fiscal year ending
June 30, 2007, to the commissioner of public safety to fund the
activities and operations of the Criminal Gang Strike Force
established under Minnesota Statutes, section 299A.64.

Force with any other task force, agency, or group must have
prior legislative approval.
