  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing the board of 
  1.3             trustees of Minnesota state colleges and universities 
  1.4             to convey certain land. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [AUTHORIZATION FOR CONVEYANCE OF LAND.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.8   sections 94.09 to 94.16 and 103F.535, the board of trustees of 
  1.9   Minnesota state colleges and universities may convey all or any 
  1.10  part of the land in Clay county described in this section to the 
  1.11  city of Moorhead or Moorhead public service.  The conveyance may 
  1.12  be for fair market value or less than fair market value, as 
  1.13  determined by the board of trustees of Minnesota state colleges 
  1.14  and universities, and shall be subject to terms and conditions 
  1.15  required by the board of trustees of Minnesota state colleges 
  1.16  and universities.  The quitclaim deed conveying said land must 
  1.17  be in a form approved by the attorney general, reserve all 
  1.18  minerals and mineral rights to the state of Minnesota, and 
  1.19  contain a reverter and such other reservations, covenants, 
  1.20  easements, restrictions, terms, and conditions required by the 
  1.21  board of trustees of Minnesota state colleges and universities. 
  1.22     (b) The land that may be conveyed is described as follows: 
  1.23  That part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 9, Township 139 
  1.24  North, Range 48 West, described as follows: 
  1.25     Beginning at a point on the North-South quarter line of 
  2.1      said Section 9, said point being located 356.47 feet South 
  2.2      of the center of said Section 9; thence South along said 
  2.3      North-South quarter line in said Section 9 a distance of 
  2.4      1152.05 feet; thence North 89 degrees, 36 minutes, 30 
  2.5      seconds East on a line which parallels an existing fence 
  2.6      line and is 10 feet North of said existing fence line a 
  2.7      distance of 1050.78 feet; thence North 36 degrees, 44 
  2.8      minutes, 30 seconds West along the South right-of-way of 
  2.9      trunk Highway No. 52 a distance of 1428.62 feet; thence 
  2.10     North 89 degrees, 59 minutes West a distance of 196.04 feet 
  2.11     to the point of beginning. 
  2.12     (c) The description may be revised in accordance with a 
  2.13  survey of the land prepared by a licensed land surveyor if 
  2.14  necessary to correct any deficiencies in the description.  Any 
  2.15  such revised description must be approved by the attorney 
  2.16  general.
