  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; permitting the Minnesota state 
  1.3             high school league to determine the required pool 
  1.4             depth for supervised competitive high school diving 
  1.5             occurring in pools constructed before 1995; amending 
  1.6             Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 128C.05, by adding a 
  1.7             subdivision.  
  1.8   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.9      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 128C.05, is 
  1.10  amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.11     Subd. 1a.  [POOL DEPTH FOR HIGH SCHOOL DIVING COMPETITION.] 
  1.12  Notwithstanding Minnesota Rules, part 4717.3750, the league may 
  1.13  determine required pool depth for supervised competitive high 
  1.14  school diving occurring in pools constructed before 1995.  
  1.15     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective for the 
  1.16  2003-2004 school year and later.
