  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to game and fish; providing an exception to 
  1.3             the prohibition on transfer of a deer tag; amending 
  1.4             Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 97A.415, subdivision 
  1.5             2. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 97A.415, 
  1.8   subdivision 2, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 2.  [TRANSFER PROHIBITED.] (a) A person may not lend, 
  1.10  transfer, borrow, or solicit a license or permit, license 
  1.11  identification number, application for a license or permit, 
  1.12  coupon, tag, or seal, or use a license, permit, license 
  1.13  identification number, coupon, tag, or seal not issued to the 
  1.14  person except as provided under paragraph (b) or unless 
  1.15  otherwise expressly authorized.  
  1.16     (b) A person age 65 or over or a person with a permanent 
  1.17  physical disability, established according to section 97B.055, 
  1.18  subdivision 3, may transfer a deer tag to a person licensed to 
  1.19  hunt deer and the licensed person may use the deer tag to take a 
  1.20  deer, if the deer is consumed by the person age 65 or over or 
  1.21  the person with a permanent physical disability.
