  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to housing; appropriating money for the 
  1.3             home-sharing grant program; amending Laws 1999, 
  1.4             chapter 245, article 10, section 10, as amended. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $500,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   commissioner of human services for the home-sharing grant 
  1.9   program under Minnesota Statutes, section 256.973, for the 
  1.10  fiscal years ending June 30, 2002, and June 30, 2003.  This 
  1.11  appropriation shall become part of the base for each biennium 
  1.12  thereafter and supersedes any previous appropriation for this 
  1.13  purpose. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  Laws 1999, chapter 245, article 10, section 10, as 
  1.15  amended by Laws 2000, chapter 488, article 9, section 30, is 
  1.16  amended to read: 
  1.17     Sec. 10.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.18     (a) Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 256.973, is repealed 
  1.19  effective June 30, 2002. 
  1.20     (b) Laws 1997, chapter 225, article 6, section 8, is 
  1.21  repealed.
