  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to historic preservation; appropriating money 
  1.3             to the Minnesota historical society for a grant to the 
  1.4             city of Bemidji for purchase of a historic railroad 
  1.5             depot and its conversion to a historical museum and 
  1.6             facility. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [BEMIDJI HISTORICAL MUSEUM; APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.9      $556,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.10  Minnesota historical society for a grant to the city of 
  1.11  Bemidji.  The city may use the grant only to pay up to one-half 
  1.12  of the total costs, including acquisition, design, other 
  1.13  preliminary work, and construction costs, for the purchase of an 
  1.14  abandoned historic railroad depot within the city and its 
  1.15  conversion to a historical museum and facility for the Beltrami 
  1.16  county historical society.
