A bill for an act
relating to game and fish; appropriating money for Let's Go Fishing community
outreach grants; transferring certain money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; LET'S GO FISHING.

new text begin (a) $100,000 in fiscal year 2010 and $100,000 in fiscal year 2011 are appropriated
from the game and fish fund to the commissioner of natural resources for grants to Let's
Go Fishing of Minnesota to provide community outreach to senior citizens and others by
offering free fishing and boating activities. The grants must be matched with cash or
in-kind contributions from nonstate sources. This appropriation becomes part of the
Department of Natural Resources' base.

new text begin (b) The commissioner of finance shall transfer $50,000 in fiscal year 2010 and
$50,000 in fiscal year 2011 from the general fund appropriations of the Department of
Veterans Affairs to the commissioner of natural resources to coordinate programming
under paragraph (a) with veterans service organizations.
