A bill for an act
relating to higher education; requiring the Board of Trustees to adopt retroactive
internship credit standards.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin RETROACTIVE INTERNSHIP CREDITS.

The Board of Trustees for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities must establish
standards for granting retroactive internship credits. These standards must allow for an
internship for credit to be added to a transcript if a student can demonstrate (1) successful
completion of an internship that would meet the standards for the credited internship, and
(2) the skills learned from the internship.
