  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; modifying compensatory revenue 
  1.3             to reflect changes in enrollment; amending Minnesota 
  1.4             Statutes 1998, section 126C.10, subdivision 3. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 126C.10, 
  1.7   subdivision 3, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 3.  [COMPENSATORY EDUCATION REVENUE.] The 
  1.9   compensatory education revenue for each building in the district 
  1.10  equals:  (1) the formula allowance; times (2) the ratio of the 
  1.11  current year's enrollment to the enrollment for the previous 
  1.12  year; times (3) the compensation revenue pupil units computed 
  1.13  according to section 126C.05, subdivision 3.  Revenue shall be 
  1.14  paid to the district and must be allocated according to section 
  1.15  126C.15, subdivision 2. 
  1.16     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.17     Section 1 is effective for revenue for fiscal year 2000 and 
  1.18  later.
