  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the disposition of proceeds from a local 
  1.3             lodging tax imposed by the city of Breezy Point. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CITY OF BREEZY POINT; LODGING TAX; USE OF 
  1.6   PROCEEDS.] 
  1.7      Proceeds of a lodging tax imposed by the city of Breezy 
  1.8   Point pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 469.190, may, in 
  1.9   addition to the uses authorized in Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.10  469.190, subdivision 3, be utilized or pledged by the city for 
  1.11  the planning, design, financing, construction, and operation of 
  1.12  a regional sports recreational facility, whether publicly or 
  1.13  privately owned, to be located on a site of approximately 16 
  1.14  acres on highway 11 at the Breezy Point Resort in the city of 
  1.15  Breezy Point. 
  1.16     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.17     This act is effective upon compliance by the governing body 
  1.18  of the city of Breezy Point with Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.19  645.021, subdivision 3.
