relating to education; providing for youth mental health screening and suicide
prevention; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY TEENSCREEN GRANTS.

new text begin The commissioner of education shall develop a request for proposals for grants to
implement the Columbia University TeenScreen program for mental health and suicide
risk screening for youth. The request for proposals shall require the grant applicant to
specify how the applicant will follow, implement, and conduct the essential components
of the Columbia University TeenScreen program. Applicants for grants shall be limited to
public schools and family service collaboratives.
