  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; providing medical 
  1.3             assistance coverage for inpatient psychiatric services 
  1.4             for children; amending Minnesota Statutes 1994, 
  1.5             section 256B.0625, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 256B.0625, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 38.  [INPATIENT PSYCHIATRIC SERVICES FOR 
  1.10  CHILDREN.] Medical assistance covers inpatient psychiatric 
  1.11  services provided in residential treatment centers for children 
  1.12  with severe emotional disturbances.  Inpatient psychiatric 
  1.13  services means services defined in United States Code, title 42, 
  1.14  section 1396d(h).  Residential treatment centers for children 
  1.15  with severe emotional disturbances means a facility licensed 
  1.16  under Minnesota Rules, parts 9545.0900 to 9545.1090.
