  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to local government; authorizing Hennepin 
  1.3             county to lease hospital or nursing home facilities 
  1.4             under certain conditions; proposing coding for new law 
  1.5             in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 383B. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [383B.222] [HOSPITALS AND OTHER FACILITIES; 
  1.8   FINANCING AND LEASING.] 
  1.9      Notwithstanding any provision of sections 447.45 to 447.50 
  1.10  to the contrary, Hennepin county may exercise all powers of a 
  1.11  county under sections 447.45 to 447.50. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [APPLICATION.] 
  1.13     Section 1 takes effect the day after the Hennepin county 
  1.14  board of commissioners complies with Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.15  645.021, subdivision 3.
