  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to gambling; appropriating money for a grant 
  1.3             to an adolescent prevention program in St. Louis 
  1.4             county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [ADOLESCENT COMPULSIVE GAMBLING GRANT.] 
  1.7      $125,000 for fiscal year 1998 and $125,000 for fiscal year 
  1.8   1999 shall be transferred by the director of the lottery from 
  1.9   the lottery prize fund created under Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.10  349A.10, subdivision 2, to the general fund.  $125,000 for 
  1.11  fiscal year 1998 and $125,000 for fiscal year 1999 is 
  1.12  appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of human 
  1.13  services for the purposes of a grant to a compulsive gambling 
  1.14  council located in St. Louis county for a compulsive gambling 
  1.15  prevention and education project for adolescents.
