A bill for an act
relating to human services; increasing the rate reimbursement for a day training
and habilitation provider in Meeker County; requiring the Department of Human
Services to draft legislation addressing the disparity between per diem rate
reimbursements for day training and habilitation providers across the state.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

A day training and habilitation provider in Meeker County providing services to up
to 110 individuals shall have a rate reimbursement increase that equals eight percent of
the provider's current reimbursement rate.

The commissioner of human services, in conjunction with community service
providers, shall prepare legislation by January 1, 2008, for introduction at the beginning of
the 2008 legislative session. The legislation must correct the disparity in per diem rate
reimbursements between community service providers across the state. The proposed
legislation shall be given to the chairs of the house and senate committees with jurisdiction
over human services by December 1, 2007.
