1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to local government; specifying manufactured 1.3 home parks as a permitted use in certain 1.4 circumstances; amending Minnesota Statutes 1996, 1.5 sections 394.25, by adding a subdivision; and 462.357, 1.6 by adding a subdivision; proposing coding for new law 1.7 in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 366. 1.8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.9 Section 1. [366.152] [PERMITTED USES.] 1.10 A manufactured home park, as defined in section 327.14, 1.11 subdivision 3, is a permitted use in a zoning district that 1.12 permits, as a conditional or permitted use, the construction or 1.13 placement of a building used or intended to be used by two or 1.14 more families. A town board must not limit the density of a 1.15 manufactured home park permitted under this section to fewer 1.16 than eight manufactured homes per acre. 1.17 Sec. 2. Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 394.25, is 1.18 amended by adding a subdivision to read: 1.19 Subd. 3b. [PERMITTED USES.] A manufactured home park, as 1.20 defined in section 327.14, subdivision 3, is a permitted use in 1.21 a zoning district that permits, as a conditional or permitted 1.22 use, the construction or placement of a building used or 1.23 intended to be used by two or more families.
