A bill for an act
relating to transportation; appropriating money and authorizing bonds for
transportation and transit improvements in Interstate Highway 94 Corridor.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

IMPROVEMENTS IN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 94 CORRIDOR.

new text begin $1,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
fund to the commissioner of transportation for a grant to Washington County for
predesign, environmental studies, and alternatives analysis of transportation and transit
improvements, including busways or rail transit in the marked Interstate Highway 94
Corridor between downtown St. Paul, in Ramsey County, extending eastward through
Washington County to the Minnesota-Wisconsin border, to terminate in St. Croix County,
Wisconsin. The appropriation is available until expended.

new text begin To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance shall sell and issue bonds of the state in
an amount up to $1,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect prescribed
by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution,
article XI, sections 4 to 7.
