  1.2             relating to taxation; abolishing the metropolitan 
  1.3             fiscal disparities law; repealing Minnesota Statutes

  1.5             473F.05; 473F.06; 473F.07; 473F.08; 473F.09; 473F.10; 
  1.6             473F.11; 473F.13. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.9      Minnesota Statutes 2002, sections 473F.001; 473F.01; 
  1.10  473F.02; 473F.03; 473F.05; 473F.06; 473F.07; 473F.08; 473F.09; 
  1.11  473F.10; 473F.11; and 473F.13, are repealed effective for 
  1.12  property taxes levied in 2003, payable in 2004, and thereafter. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [REVISOR'S INSTRUCTION.] 
  1.14     The revisor shall remove from Minnesota Statutes and 
  1.15  Minnesota Rules all references to the sections repealed in 
  1.16  section 1.  The revisor shall also remove text and calculations 
  1.17  relating to the repealed sections.  
  1.18     In sections affected by this instruction, the revisor may 
  1.19  make changes necessary to correct the punctuation, grammar, or 
  1.20  structure of the remaining text and preserve its meaning.  If 
  1.21  text in Minnesota Statutes or Minnesota Rules that is unrelated 
  1.22  to the repealed sections refers to a repealed definition, the 
  1.23  revisor may substitute the text of the repealed definition in 
  1.24  the cross-reference. 
  1.25     If the revisor requests it, the commissioner of revenue 
  1.26  shall assist the revisor in making the changes to statutes and 
  2.1   rules necessary to accomplish the purpose of section 1. 
  2.2      [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  2.3   following final enactment. 
  2.4      Sec. 3.  [APPLICABILITY.] 
  2.5      Section 1 applies in the counties of Anoka, Carver, Dakota, 
  2.6   Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington.
