  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to elections; providing for distribution of a 
  1.3             caucus guide and a voters' guide; appropriating money; 
  1.4             proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.5             chapters 202A; and 204B. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [202A.145] [CAUCUS GUIDE.] 
  1.8      The secretary of state shall prepare a caucus guide and 
  1.9   send it to each household in the state no later than 14 days 
  1.10  before the date set for party caucuses in section 202A.14.  
  1.11     Sec. 2.  [204B.47] [VOTERS' GUIDE.] 
  1.12     The secretary of state shall prepare a voters' guide and 
  1.13  distribute it to each household in the state no more than 14 
  1.14  days before: 
  1.15     (1) the state party nominating election and primary; and 
  1.16     (2) the state general election. 
  1.17     Sec. 3.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.18     $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.19  secretary of state for the fiscal biennium ending June 30, 1996, 
  1.20  for purposes of sections 1 and 2.
