A bill for an act
 relating to natural resources; requiring approval of certain residents before
acquiring land for park or trail purposes outside of the seven-county metropolitan
area; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 85.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

ACQUISITION.

new text begin Prior to the commissioner of natural resources acquiring lands for park or trail
purposes outside of the seven-county metropolitan area, or prior to a political subdivision
application for a grant of state money for acquisition of land for park or trail purposes
outside of the seven-county metropolitan area, the commissioner or political subdivision
shall obtain the written approval of:
