  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [ITV GRANT; NORTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA EDUCATIONAL 
  1.8   TELECOMMUNICATION CONSORTIUM.] 
  1.9      $500,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal 
  1.10  year 1996 to the department of education for a grant to the 
  1.11  Northwest Educational Cooperative Service Unit in Thief River 
  1.12  Falls for a management assistance grant to the North Central 
  1.13  Minnesota Educational Telecommunication Consortium to establish 
  1.14  an interactive television network between cooperating school 
  1.15  districts.
