languages; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; INDIGENOUS LANGUAGE TEACHER
TRAINING GRANTS.

new text begin $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the director of the Minnesota
Office of Higher Education for the biennium ending June 30, 2009, for the purpose of
making one or more grants to training entities to train teachers of indigenous Native
American languages. The director may solicit requests for proposals for grants and shall
award grants based on the proposal's potential for training teachers of indigenous Native
American languages. This is a onetime appropriation.
