  1.2             relating to human services; adjusting plant and 
  1.3             maintenance costs for nursing facilities; amending 
  1.4             Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 256B.431, subdivision 
  1.5             3c. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 256B.431, 
  1.8   subdivision 3c, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 3c.  [PLANT AND MAINTENANCE COSTS.] For the rate 
  1.10  years beginning on or after July 1, 1987 1995, the commissioner 
  1.11  shall allow as an expense in the reporting year of occurrence 
  1.12  the lesser of the actual allowable plant and maintenance costs 
  1.13  for supplies, minor equipment, equipment repairs, building 
  1.14  repairs, purchased services and service contracts, except for 
  1.15  arms-length service contracts whose primary purpose is 
  1.16  supervision, or $325 per licensed bed.  These allowable expenses 
  1.17  are subject to the limits under subdivision 2i, paragraph (a).
