A bill for an act
 relating to taxation; reducing the rate of health care
provider gross revenues taxes for calendar years 2006
and 2007; amending Minnesota Statutes 2004, section
295.52, subdivision 7.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 295.52,
subdivision 7, is amended to read:


Subd. 7.

Tax reduction.

Notwithstanding subdivisions 1,
1a, 2, 3, and 4, the tax imposed under this section equals deleted text begin for
calendar years 1998 to 2003, 1.5 deleted text end new text begin 1.2 new text end percent of the gross
revenues received on or after January 1, deleted text begin 1998 deleted text end new text begin 2006new text end , and before
January 1, deleted text begin 2004 deleted text end new text begin 2008new text end .
