  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money for 
  1.3             intensive case management services for prostituted 
  1.4             individuals. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; CRIME VICTIM OMBUDSMAN.] 
  1.7      $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the crime 
  1.8   victim ombudsman for the fiscal biennium ending June 30, 2001, 
  1.9   to be used for grants to two or more organizations to provide 
  1.10  intensive case management services for prostituted individuals.  
  1.11  Case management services include, but are not limited to, crisis 
  1.12  intervention services, transportation assistance, relocation 
  1.13  assistance, moving and storage, child care, telephone 
  1.14  assistance, counseling, street outreach, and information and 
  1.15  referral services.  In awarding grants, the ombudsman shall give 
  1.16  preference to organizations that provide case management 
  1.17  services to women of color, poor women, and women who live in 
  1.18  rural communities.
