  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to utilities; abolishing sunset provision 
  1.3             related to competitive rates for electric utilities; 
  1.4             making technical changes; amending Laws 1990, chapter 
  1.5             370, section 7; repealing Minnesota Statutes 1994, 
  1.6             section 216B.162, subdivision 9. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Laws 1990, chapter 370, section 7, is amended 
  1.9   to read: 
  1.10     Sec. 7.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.11     Sections 2 and 3 are Section 2 is repealed July 1, 1995. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.13     Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 216B.162, subdivision 9, 
  1.14  is repealed. 
  1.15     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final 
  1.17  enactment.
