A bill for an act
relating to capital improvements; appropriating money for a grant to the Duluth
Children's Museum to purchase land, renovate historic buildings, construct,
furnish, and equip a new children's museum.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $....... is appropriated from the federal funds allocated to Minnesota for infrastructure
projects as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to the
commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the Duluth
Children's Museum to acquire land and improvements in Clyde Park; renovate historic
properties; and construct, furnish, and equip a new museum to replace the existing Duluth
Children's Museum. Purchase of the property must be completed within 30 days of final
enactment, with construction and renovation beginning no later than 90 days following
purchase of the property.
