A bill for an act
 relating to state finances; requiring a state budget forecast in August 2020.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin AUGUST FORECAST OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES.

new text begin In August 2020, the commissioner of management and budget shall prepare an August
forecast of state revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year 2020-2021 biennium and the
fiscal year 2022-2023 biennium. The August forecast shall be prepared in a manner consistent
with the annual November and February forecasts and the requirements of Minnesota
Statutes, sections 16A.103 and 16A.105. The August forecast must be delivered to the
legislature and the governor no later than September 4, 2020.
