A bill for an act
 relating to retirement; Minneapolis Firefighters Relief Association; modifying
the number of member representatives on the relief association board of trustees;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 423C.03, subdivision 1.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 423C.03, subdivision 1, is amended to read:


Subdivision 1.

Board composition and elections.

The board shall consist of
two persons appointed by the city and deleted text begin tendeleted text end new text begin the number of new text end other members new text begin specified in
the association bylaws, but not to exceed ten, who must be new text end selected by the members.
Elections for active and retired positions on the board shall be conducted pursuant to
the association's bylaws.
