A bill for an act
 relating to game and fish; prohibiting sharpshooters from taking deer in certain
areas; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 97B.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin (a) The commissioner of natural resources may not use sharpshooters to reduce deer
populations in the sharpshooter restriction zone described in paragraph (b).

new text begin (b) The sharpshooter restriction zone includes all lands in the following deer permit
areas assigned for the 2023 deer season: deer permit areas 646, 647, 648, 649, and 655.
