relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the Trades Learning and
Workforce Center in the city of Mahnomen.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; WHITE EARTH TRIBAL AND COMMUNITY
COLLEGE.

new text begin $12,789,000 in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the White Earth Band of Ojibwe
to design, construct, furnish, and equip the Trades Learning and Workforce Center addition
to the White Earth Tribal and Community College in the city of Mahnomen, to expand
educational and workforce opportunities in skilled trades and construction technology both
locally and throughout Minnesota. This appropriation is onetime and is available until the
project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
