A bill for an act
 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for capital improvements at
an Agate Housing and Services facility in the city of Minneapolis.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; AGATE HOUSING AND SERVICES.

new text begin $6,500,000 in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to Agate Housing
and Services, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to construct, renovate, furnish, and equip
improvements and betterments of a capital nature to renovate the existing shelter and
board-and-lodge facility located at 510 South 8th Street in the city of Minneapolis. This
appropriation includes money for roof repair, plumbing replacement, insulation, and interior
furnishings to replace those damaged as a result of building age. This appropriation is
onetime and is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota
Statutes, section 16A.642.
