A bill for an act
relating to education finance; authorizing a grant for St. Paul Neighborhood
Network for after-school programming; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMMING.

appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education in the fiscal year
designated.

new text begin St. Paul Neighborhood Network. new text end

new text begin (a) For a grant to St. Paul Neighborhood
Network to support and expand its after-school programming options:

new text begin (b) St. Paul Neighborhood Network must work with its Community Technology
Empowerment Project members, community organizations, and schools to expand its
after-school programming. To the extent possible, St. Paul Neighborhood Network must
also seek partners throughout the metropolitan area and in greater Minnesota.

new text begin (c) On January 15th of each year following the fiscal year that St. Paul Neighborhood
Network receives state aid under this section, St. Paul Neighborhood Network must submit
a report according to Minnesota Statutes, section 3.195, describing its activities. The report
must include a link to the organization's most recent federal 990 form, list its participating
partners, provide demographic information on the number of program participants, and
summarize participants' outcomes.

new text begin (d) Of the amount appropriated in this section, up to five percent is available for grant
administration.
