A bill for an act
relating to health; requiring the Department of Health to enter into an interagency
agreement to pay for human services background studies for applicants and license
holders regulated by the commissioner of health; amending Minnesota Statutes
2022, section 245C.10, subdivision 18.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 245C.10, subdivision 18, is amended to read:


Subd. 18.

Applicants, licensees, and other occupations regulated by commissioner
of health.

The applicant or license holder is responsible for paying to the Department of
Human Services all fees associated with the preparation of the fingerprints, the criminal
records check consent form, and the criminal background check.new text begin The Department of Health
and the Department of Human Services shall enter into an interagency agreement to ensure
that the Department of Health pays for all fees under this subdivision on behalf of applicants
and license holders regulated by the commissioner of health.
