A bill for an act
 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a water quality improvement
project in the city of Fergus Falls.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; WATER QUALITY PROJECT.

new text begin $40,000 in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the Minnesota
Pollution Control Agency for a grant to the city of Fergus Falls to extend a water
improvement pilot project to address water quality concerns at Lake Alice. This grant must
be used to contract for non-chemical, flow-through water-quality improvement services,
testing, necessary infrastructure, training, and maintenance. This appropriation and the
appropriation in Laws 2023, chapter 60, article 1, section 2, subdivision 2, paragraph (l),
are available until December 31, 2025.
