A bill for an act
 relating to state government; modifying the design of the state seal; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2023 Supplement, section 1.135, subdivision 3a.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2023 Supplement, section 1.135, subdivision 3a, is amended
to read:


Subd. 3a.

Official seal; May 11, 2024, and thereafter.

The Great Seal of the State of
Minnesota is the design as certified in the report of the State Emblems Redesign Commission,
as established by Laws 2023, chapter 62, article 2, section 118new text begin , with the following
modification: on the blue field between the outer borders of gold bars and blue rondels,
centered at the bottom, is the date "1858," printed in Georgia bold font. The date is separated
from the lettering in the same space by a diamond shape on either end. The date represents
the year of Minnesota's statehoodnew text end .
