A bill for an act
relating to agriculture; appropriating money to the commissioner of agriculture
for additional food handler inspectors.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; ADDITIONAL FOOD HANDLER INSPECTORS.

$250,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of agriculture for the purposes of employing additional food handler inspectors.
Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.28, unencumbered balances under this
section do not cancel until June 30, 2026.
