A bill for an act
relating to game and fish; permitting transport and
exhibition of certain captive deer.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Until January 1, 2007, and notwithstanding any other law to
the contrary:

(1) deer that are totally enclosed on public property not
within the jurisdiction of the commissioner of natural resources
may be transported to a registered game farm, if:

(i) the public authority that administers the property
approves the removal;
new text end
new text begin
(ii) the game farm is registered in a manner approved by
the Board of Animal Health; and
new text end
new text begin
(iii) the deer are kept in a confined area separate from
farmed cervidae that may be on the game farm; and

(2) deer transported under clause (1) may be exhibited on
the game farm for public benefit.

This act is effective the day following final enactment.
