A bill for an act
 relating to education; requiring the Minnesota State High School League to sanction
boys volleyball.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin MINNESOTA STATE HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE TO SANCTION BOYS
VOLLEYBALL.

new text begin The Minnesota State High School League must add boys volleyball to the list of
interscholastic athletic activities under its jurisdiction. The league governing board must
amend the league bylaws to select an appropriate season for boys volleyball and make other
necessary determinations regarding participation. The boys volleyball season must begin
no later than December 31, 2023. Nothing in this section requires a member school to offer
boys volleyball as an extracurricular activity.
