A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money to Youthprise for a multipurpose
community facility in North Minneapolis.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $10,000,000 in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to Youthprise, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization, to acquire property for, predesign, design, construct, renovate, furnish, and
equip a multipurpose community facility in North Minneapolis that will provide young
adult cooperative housing and space for community programming, including early education,
workforce training, healthcare navigation, nutrition and wellness, and recreational activities.
This appropriation is onetime and is available until the project is completed or abandoned,
subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
