A bill for an act
 relating to natural resources; appropriating money to develop strategies to manage
PFAS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin DEVELOPING STRATEGIES TO MANAGE PFAS IN LAND-APPLIED
BIOSOLIDS; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $1,404,000 in fiscal year 2021 is appropriated from the environment and natural resources
trust fund to the commissioner of the Pollution Control Agency to help municipal wastewater
plants, landfills, and compost facilities protect human health and the environment by
developing strategies to manage perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in
land-applied biosolids. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until June 30, 2023.
