A bill for an act
 relating to state government; appropriating money for a study of Minnesota's
communications infrastructure.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $65,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2007 to the state chief
information officer to contract for an independent assessment of Minnesota's computing
and telecommunications infrastructure, including recommendations for major industries
in the state during the next 20 years. This is a onetime appropriation and is available
until spent.
