A bill for an act
relating to corrections; human services; appropriating money for predesign of the
West Central Chemical Dependency Treatment and Correctional Center.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin WEST CENTRAL CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY TREATMENT AND
CORRECTIONAL CENTER; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $150,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of corrections
for predesign of the West Central Chemical Dependency Treatment and Correctional
Center. The commissioner shall consult with the commissioner of human services on the
predesign of the facility and prepare a report to the legislature assessing the need for and
viability of the facility. The report is due to the legislature on or before February 1, 2007.
