A bill for an act
relating to human services; replacing the 2022 appropriation for the elimination
of duplicative background studies; appropriating money; repealing Laws 2022,
chapter 98, article 1, section 70.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; ELIMINATION OF DUPLICATIVE BACKGROUND
STUDIES.

new text begin (a) $334,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of human services to implement provisions to eliminate duplicative background studies.
The base for this appropriation is $574,000 in fiscal year 2025, $170,000 in fiscal year 2026,
and $170,000 in fiscal year 2027.

government special revenue fund as payment for money paid to the commissioner of human
services in fiscal year 2023 to implement provisions to eliminate duplicative background
studies.
