A bill for an act
relating to state lands; authorizing private sale and conveyance of certain
tax-forfeited lands that border public water in Marshall County.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin CONVEYANCE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC
WATER; MARSHALL COUNTY.

new text begin (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 282.018, subdivision 1,
and the public sale requirements of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, Marshall County
may convey to the city of Warren for no consideration the tax-forfeited lands bordering
public water that are described in paragraph (c).

new text begin (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general and provide
that the land reverts to the state if the city of Warren stops using the land for a public
purpose.

new text begin (c) The lands to be conveyed are located in Marshall County and are described as:

new text begin (1) Parcel 59.0259.001;
new text end

new text begin (2) Parcel 59.0292.000;
new text end

new text begin (3) Parcel 59.0363.000;
new text end

new text begin (4) Parcel 59.0393.000; and
new text end

new text begin (5) Parcel 59.8400.007.

new text begin (d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would
best be served if the lands were conveyed to the city of Warren for a public purpose.

Sec. 2. new text begin PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC
WATER; MARSHALL COUNTY.

new text begin (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 282.018, subdivision
1, and the public sale provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, Marshall County
may sell by private sale the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that is described in
paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.
