A bill for an act
 relating to health; requiring the commissioner of health to develop health risk
limits for perfluorooctanoic acid and perfluorooctane sulfonate.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin By January 1, 2007, the commissioner of health shall develop and adopt by rule
health risk limits as defined in Minnesota Statutes, section 103H.005, subdivision 3, for
perfluorooctanoic acid and perfluorooctane sulfonate. The commissioner shall develop and
adopt the health risk limits according to Minnesota Statutes, section 144.0751, and ensure
that the health risk limits are based on currently available toxicity and exposure data.
