relating to economic development; appropriating money for an anchor arts,
culture, and business incubator.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; COALITION OF ASIAN AMERICAN LEADERS.

new text begin $250,000 in fiscal year 2017 is appropriated from the general fund to the Humanities
Commission for a grant to the Coalition of Asian American Leaders. The grant must be
used for studying the feasibility and community impact of creating an anchor arts, culture,
and business incubator aimed at increasing economic wealth and developing cultural
assets of Asian Americans. The grant must support research, community engagement
activities, and community capacity to identify and develop a plan for the anchor arts,
culture, and business incubator.
