relating to economic development; appropriating money to the targeted community
capital project grant program.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin TARGETED COMMUNITY CAPITAL PROJECT GRANT PROGRAM;
APPROPRIATIONS.

new text begin (a) $....... in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for the targeted community capital project grant
program under Minnesota Statutes, section 116J.9924. This is a onetime appropriation.

new text begin (b) Of the amount in paragraph (a), $2,325,000 is for a grant to the MacPhail Center for
Music to design, construct, and equip capital improvements to the MacPhail Center for
Music building. This appropriation includes money to replace or upgrade HVAC, water,
heating, and other mechanical systems and lighting; replace sidewalks; renovate the lobby;
and for other building and site improvements.
