A bill for an act
 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for property acquisition for
Firefighters for Healing.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin FIREFIGHTERS FOR HEALING; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $2,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of employment
and economic development for a grant to Firefighters for Healing to acquire property for a
new facility in Minneapolis near the Hennepin County Medical Center to provide temporary
housing for burn victims, first responders, and their families. This appropriation is in addition
to the appropriation in Laws 2023, chapter 71, article 1, section 14, subdivision 61.
